Matt 27:22.
”…what then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?”
I have observed that in life you can position yourself in such a way that you cannot be ignored. The impact of Christ’s life during his short stay here on earth, caused Pilate to ask the famous question quoted as today’s key text. Unfortunately the crowds in that instance, chose to have Christ Jesus crucified.
Each one of us, would sooner or later have to answer this same question. The question as to what each of us individually has done with the man Jesus. It’s a choice you may never be able to run away from. I find the following three responses as the most common, to this question.
- Reject, vilify and denounce Him as was the case during his first trial.
Sad to say, but people often times realise too late, what is truly good for them, just like one of the centurions at the crucifixion, who confessed rather too late, that truly Jesus is the Son of God. May it never be too late for you. - Make capital out of his death to enrich yourself.
Today many people market the Gospel for personal gain. The spirit of Balaam is causing many to rush for profit much to their own destruction.
(Num 22) - Accept Him, Believe in Him, Call on His name and be saved.
This was the case of the thief on the cross that earned him a place in God’s kingdom; and may this be your decision as well! (Luke 23:39-42)
Dear friend, the truth is that Jesus is more than a great man, a good teacher or a prophet.
The Bible says “every knee should bow… and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” (Philp 2:10-11)
Jesus is still Lord even over covid19.
Choose life and remain blessed in Him.
